A certain amount of personal data is collected by Rise Rooted Wellness for every client. This enables us to offer and maintain professional and appropriate teaching, and to meet insurance requirements.
All information gathered by Rise Rooted Wellness is confidential and will not be shared with a third party unless in the event of an emergency, where we may be required to give yours and your assigned emergency contact/next of kin's details for health and safety reasons.
Any information submitted in paper form will be stored securely in a locked filing cabinet. We will also hold minimal and abbreviated health information for current students who attend classes, courses, workshops and retreats (for example "low bp") which is stored securely and electronically within.
Should you discontinue using our service, your information will be stored securely within a filing cabinet for a period of time as per the guidelines of our liability insurance provider, BGI.
In accordance with good practice, we will also keep records of practices and/ or alternative practices taught or offered during classes, workshops, courses, 1-1s, yoga therapy sessions and retreats.
If you wish to alter any of your data, review how it is used or wish to request its return to you, please contact us.
You may, of course, decline to submit personally identifiable information, however we may not be able to provide certain services to you.
Mailing List
When you purchase any service from Rise Rooted Wellness you will be added to our mailing list. You will receive emails informing you of existing, future or alternative services and any forthcoming changes to services. All newsletters will be sent through an email system called MailChimp (see their Privacy Policy at www.mailchimp.com). You have the option to opt out at the bottom of any and all of these communications and may do so at any time.
Phone Numbers/ Emails
The phone number and email address provided by you will be for the purposes of contacting you in relation to class cancelations and to communicate about other class/ teaching related issues, for example joining instructions for a workshop or retreat. This will also enable you to be added to private community groups should you choose to join. They will not be used for marketing purposes.
Notifying you of Changes to this Notice
If there is a change to the privacy notice or how we use your data you will receive this information in our regular newsletter. It will also be updated on this page. We reserve the right to determine the form and means of providing notifications to you, and you may have opted out of certain means of notification as described in this Privacy Notice.
